My thought is and always has been, that come means it's dictionary definition while cum=seed/spunk/jizz/whatever else it's called.

If you're writing ~properly~ 'cum' isn't a word. It's a conjuction/abbreviation. It's pretty much just a slang term so 'come' would be the ~proper~ word to use, although fanfiction isn't "proper" writing so I don't see why it really matters which word you use.

I hate it when people use come. Sam (my beta) changed one of my cums to come on my last fic, I just noticed it (she will be spanked). I think it loses it's sexiness when authors try to be "proper". I have used jizz in the past but mostly I use cum. I hate seed, I read a fic the other day that was sooo good then I got to the sex and they used sperm. *gags*
