Happy Halloween!
Oct. 31st, 2025 11:10 amHappy Halloween! 🎃 I hope everyone has a nice and spooky day!
To me it doesn’t really feel like Halloween, which is down to the sickness and glasses.(which means spooky season is extended till next month which I had intended anyway.) So there’s no really spooky stuff around. I haven’t put up any of the new decorations I got, or painted the things I picked up which sucks. Hopefully I can get into the Halloween spirit today.
So I had intended yesterday to see Frankenstein, but when the day came I didn’t feel up to it. When I woke I felt a it funny, but thought it was just down to hunger but it was there after eating which ugh. It sucks, but I’m hoping to see it next week (thank fuck they extended the run cause all there is this week is night showings).
Instead yesterday was another day spent bundled and resting.
It did mean that I was in to watch two new trailers. There’s the new one for Stranger Things which looks so great (I still need to watch the finale for season 4, hopefully I will this weekend). Please Stranger Things, don’t kill off Steve this season.
Also there was a surprise new thing from Nintendo, with Animal Crossing getting a new update. I assumed it would just be enhanced graphics and stuff for the switch 2 but nope! There’s a new hotel, storage updates, slumber islands and there’s collab stuff including Zelda! The new Zelda items look cool so I have a mighty need! (Thankfully I just found my game so I know where it is) I do wonder if there’s other stuff they’re holding back (I’d not be surprised, especially since the update is January) and I guess it does mean there’s not a new game for the switch 2 coming for awhile.
We usually watch Taskmaster last night (and celebrity traitors today) but mum wanted to watch it last night (which surprised me cause she’d been dozing all night). I’m glad they finally got a traitor on Wednesday but damn! I’m so sad that Celia is gone, she was so fun.
I had an email last night too from the cinema and they’re showing the final next week (for free too!) which is a surprise.
I also decided to sort Now tv (I had planned to depending on how going out went) and damn I made the dumbest mistake. I put in the wrong email. I somehow combined both my main email and my iPad one and didn’t realise until I was logging in after making it. Thankfully the username wasn’t taken so now I have that email but the verification emails still hasn’t come through so I have to chase that up, ugh.
So I did watch the first IT Welcome To Derry ep last night. Now I have never watched IT, it’s one of those horror things that’s kinda passed me by (Nightmare on Elm street is another big one) so why am I watching a prequel to a think I’ve not seen before? (To the point of even getting a new thing specifically for it)
To that I answer two words (or rather one name): Joshua Odijick.
Listen, I’m a simple creature, if you tell me a beautiful man is in a thing I am likely to see a thing. (And it’s already got me to see The Long Walk and get Wildhood, both of which I’ve talked about and I had already unknowingly seen him in Ghe Swarm last year.) He wasn’t in the first ep, which I knew already so what’re my thoughts of ep 1?
(Thoughts under the cut so if you’re avoiding spoilers. Scroll quick)

My Halloween plans for today are the following:
*Start the beautiful version of Halloween Party that I got for Christmas (and so had saved till now)
*Sort the pumpkin carving (and have pumpkin soup! Though it’s more vegetable with pumpkin but still)
*Seapeekay spooky game stream
*Return To Paradise/Sister Boniface Mysteries
*IT Welcome To Derry ep 2 (cause it’s been put up early for Halloween)
*Trick R Treat (my traditional Halloween film)
*Attempt to finish the last quests on Fortnite/Fall Guys for Halloween stuff
