First of all, I just discovered your fics a few months ago and I didn’t want to leave a comment after years the stories had been written (I don’t know, it seemed kind of moronic on my part…). Besides, I’m always kind of wary about commenting because sometimes I don’t really know how the recipient is going to regard my ramblings. I try always to say something meaningful, otherwise what’s the point of writing to the author at all? But I’ve noticed that sometimes my words are misinterpreted (probably due to the fact that English is not my first language too) and the author gets kind of defensive, when the only thing I wanted to do was to have a nice discussion with them about the characters, the situation or their motivations. In certain instances, I try to crack a joke (because I’m absolutely convinced you can laugh at almost anything…) and I’m the only one who finds it funny in the end…
So, I usually don’t comment, unless I’m rather drunk: so now you have an explanation on my usual lack of coherence… :) And today I had some assorted liquors in preparation of New Year’s Eve (ah!…) and I decided to let you know how much I have enjoyed your prolific and uninhibited imagination (because sometimes writers need to know that their work is appreciated :)).
To that you need to add the fact that I’m always entertained by a little of fictional gun-play… And almost all your stories have an element that I’m always trying to find in fandom, unsuccessfully I may add, since the majority of the posted fics tend to deal with hyper-romanticized stuff. You are one of the few writers that I found completely and unrepentantly un-sappy. More to the point, you seem to relish plunging your characters into the most violent and extreme situations. And I have a tendency to look for any sort of imbalance in the distribution of power in relationships: it’s a theme that interests me a lot and it appears it’s the constant in your stories too!
I’m really fascinated by the ways one can play with the idea of consent and with the dynamics that are the undercurrent of many of your stories: in your more extreme scenarios, what’s best than reading about the eroticization of power, games of humiliation, rapes that in the end are never such, and so forth?
So now you have it: I’m just as sick as you :)!!!!! And please feel free to message me as many times as you want if you ever feel the need to discuss (albeit I told you I’m not much of a writer…) about particular ideas or scenarios for your next fics! Although I’m sure you’ll do fine without my help, eh! I tend to ramble and lose perspective on what I’m doing: six months ago I had this idea for a very filthy Bert/Gerard D/s PWP, and so I started writing it. Unfortunately, it steadily morphed in the course of the weeks into something that right now is about 61.000 words long, doesn’t have very good sex in it and moreover is chock-full of anticlimactic considerations about the meaning of life and other varied matters that are not exactly conducive to good porn…
