I got nominated for best author and didn't make the cut. I never expected to. And anyway, being nominated for best author and having no fic nominated is kind of like the Academy Awards nominating a best director and NOT having his film up for best picture. In other words, it's amusing.
(I'm not saying I'm Peter Jackson, I didn't think I deserved a nomination anyway. I was like "oh stop!". It was sweet of them, though!)
