Tech support

Ok my laptop has done a fuck up on me. All of a sudden it started acting as if the shift key was held down everywhere (making everything capitals turning the numbers into their symbols etc). Of course I made the mistake of restarting... because my password has numbers in it and I now can't get back on it. (Despite trying everything I can think of.)

So, wisdom? There's nothing messing with the shift keys, so I must've accidentally done it while moving the laptop so... help? I can't seem to find the answers myself, despite looking.
